Vajikaran Theropy or Vrishya chikitsa In Ayurveda the treatment that is formulated to increase libido is called “VAJIKARANA”. In Sanskrit, Vaji means horse, the symbol of sexual potency and performance thus Vajikaran means producing a horse’s vigor, particularly the animal’s great capacity for sexual activity in the individual. it is helpful in many common sexual dysfunctions, including Infertility, Premature Ejaculation and Erectile dysfunction As this therapy increases the strength of a man to perform sexual act, like a horse, it is called ‘Vajikarana’. ( ‘Vaaji’=Horse.) Which means, fulfillment and strengthening of shukra dhaatu (sperm, mineral or element) in the body of a person whose shukra dhaatu (sperm, mineral or element) has become weak or withered, is called vajikarana. When all seven elements of the body are present in full quantity or body is filled with all seven dhaatus or elements, then they increase the power, strength, intellect, vigour, virility and luster. the use of those ayurvedic remedies that help the body get back its prestige, prosperity, grace, luster, power, strength and energy are called Vajikarana.Who should not consume Vajikarana preparations? As per Ayurveda, it is recommended that the person below 17 years of age and more than 70 years of age should not consume Vajikarana preparations.Who should not consume Vajikarana Preparations?Ayurveda acharyas have framed few rules for consumption of Vajikarana preparations. These preparations have to be consumed by “jitendriya purusha” or man who has complete control on his senses and desires. If Vajikarana preparations are consumed by “ajitendriya purusha” or man who has lost control over his senses and desire, he may prove harmful to society.Sexual acts should not be performed by young boys (below 20 years) or aged men (above 70 years). In younger boys formation of dhatus (tissues) will not be complete.
